In October 2025, Manhattan Community Board 10 issued a formal letter of support for The Bike Café, recognizing it as a community-centered project that reflects local entrepreneurship, workforce development and neighborhood vitality.
The Board highlighted founder Fritzgerald Géssé's personal ties to the neighborhood. It pointed to the mobile, tricycle-based format, offering coffee, ice cream, bagels and pastries, as a practical and scalable way to bring locally sourced food and new jobs into Harlem's parks and public spaces.
